MAGNOLIA -- The Hawks got a big game from 6-foot junior Kristi Yoder in claiming an Inter-Valley Conference victory at Sandy Valley. Yoder totaled 22 points and nine rebounds as Hiland improved to 10-0 in the league and 10-3 overall. Jena Stutzman tallied 13 points and Lydia Miller added 10 for the Hawks, who hit 38 of 62 shots from the field and converted 14 of 19 free throws. Sandy Valley (2-9, 2-12) was paced by Cole Skropits with eight points. The Cardinals connected on 9 of 34 action shots and added 6 of 11 at the foul line.
