Hiland roughs up Tuscarawas Central Catholic
Hiland 78, TCC 22

If there is any doubt that Hiland isn't arguably the best team in the area and team to beat in the Inter-Valley Conference, it was quickly erased Thursday night.

The Hawks' 56-point victory over Tuscarawas Central Catholic was more than impressive enough to highlight local hardwood action.

The big three of Lindsay Stuckey, Leah Hochstetler and Launa Hochstetler led the way, but had plenty of support in picking up an easy road win for Hiland.

Stuckey finished with 20 points and grabbed four rebounds.  Launa Hochstetler handed out a game-high 11 assists and dumped in 14 points.  Her twin, Leah, sank three 3-pointers in tallying 11 markers.

Hiland's supporting cast was led by Reanna Burke, who led the Hawks 41-board barrage with eight caroms and banged in 11 points.  Rachel Thomas grabbed six boards and scored six points, while Krista Beechy netted 11 points and cleared the glass four times.

Hiland as a team forced 28 turnovers, running up a 46-5 edge in points off turnovers.  With the win the Hawks improve to 2-0 on the year and 2-0 in the IVC.
