Hiland clinches share of the IVC

For many in the know, the Inter-Valley Conference title has only been academic from the outset.  Hiland, made the unofficial become official by clinching at least a share of the IVC title with a win over Newcomerstown to highlight area girls action.

The No. 1-ranked team in the Div. IV AP poll made it look all too easy in dismantling their opponent.  With clear-cut edges on the glass (45-28), assists (24-0) and turnovers (25-5), Hiland once again outclassed another conference foe.

Senior standout Launa Hochstetler picked up the triple-double via team-highs with 12 assists, 10 steals and 10 points.  Twin sister Leah Hochstetler tossed in 12 points and Jena Stutzman split the net for 13.  Lindsay Stuckey led all scorers with 17 points and a team-high eight rebounds, while Lydia Miller and Reanna Burke contributed 12 and 10 points, respectively.
