Leah Hochstetler set a school record for 3-pointers made in a game, and Hiland moved within one game of a milestone victory, thumping the Strasburg Tigers in an Inter-Valley Conference matchup. Hochstetler hit 13-of-20 total field goals, including 10-of-16 from 3-point range, in finishing with a career-high 38 points. She hit four first-quarter 3-pointers and five more second-quarter long balls. "The shots just kept getting deeper and deeper," Schlabach said. "It was one of those nights where you could see a kid who had taken thousands of shots during the summer get into a rhythm." Lindsay Stuckey added 12 points, eight rebounds, and five assists for Hiland, while Launa Hochstetler had nine of the Hawks' 25 team-assists and six steals. Lydia Miller added seven points and nine rebounds, with Krista Beechy chipping in nine points and seven boards. Hiland, now 15-0 overall and 12-0 in the IVC this season, picked up win No. 499 in school history. The Hawks will look for 500 at Malvern Thursday.
