There is no misprint here, as the Hawks scored at least 22 points in each quarter and surrendered two, two, three and two-point quarters. Hiland (10-0, 9-0 Inter-Valley Conference) had four players outscore the Cardinals by themselves, led by Launa Hochstetler's 28 points, Lindsay Stuckey's 17 (9-of-9 free throw shooting), Leah Hochstetler's 16 (4-of-4 3-point shooting) and Jena Stutzman's 13 (6-of-6 from inside the arc). Launa Hochstetler was 10-of-12 from the floor, had 12 steals six assists and four rebounds. The Hawks forced 27 turnovers, scoring 52 points off them. Sandy Valley only took 21 shots (3-of-21), while Hiland was 34-of-53 from the floor, including 9-of-13 from 3-point land. Courtesy The Daily Record, Wooster, Ohio. |
